Flat Makenna's Report from Dubai - Part 2

Alright, here are the last of my photos from the trip. It is just starting to get near the 100 degree temperature range so I'm glad to be headed back seeing how I only packed red shirts and blue jeans.

Apparently this is what they mean by letting the camels out to pastor.

OK, last photo of the Burj Al Arab, I promise. I just thought this was a little better shot. The wind was blowing pretty hard so it was all I could due to hold on.

We went to the Wild Wadi water park last weekend. I didn't pack a swim suit so I didn't go on any of the rides but you know how my hair is when it gets wet so it was probably for the best.

We took a trip to the Dubai Mall for fun. It is apparently the biggest mall in the world so I was doing quite a bit of walking with my little legs. This is a fountain in the mall with these statue guys taking a dive so I did my best impression.

The Burj Dubai, just another one of the 'biggest in the world' things that seem to be common here. They're not quite finished with the top yet, which you can barely see through the thick haze that was out this day.

The Dubai Mall has this big aquarium in the middle of it that is worth a look.

Here sharky, sharky, sharky.

This part of the mall is called the gold souk and has tons of jewelery stores.

The have some very different architecture here. It looks like someone went a little out of control with the hole punch on this one.

We went and saw the X-men movie at Ibn Battuta Mall and apparently some guy decides to park his boat inside, as if valet isn't enough.

So Michael took me out to his construction site one day but there wasn't much to do.

Camille and Michael live in this building of the Promenade. Strangely enough, they still don't know most of the neighbors on the block.

Here is a shot from one of the bridges over the Marina with the Promenade in the back.

Here is a better shot of the Promenade from across the marina at the Yacht club, and I didn't even get a boat ride.

This is more of the marina from one of the other bridges, still very hazy.

So Kitty and I finally came to an understanding and we started to get along although the sleeping arangement was a little tight.

OK, I am jumping on my flight. I hope you enjoyed all of the pics and I'll be home soon.
